Details: Mevagissey a working fishing village on the Cornish Riviera south coast.

The fishing industry remains strong in Mevagissey and the local restaurants and cafes serve this fresh fish all year round. Many of the fishing boats offer deep sea angling and shark fishing. Mackerel fishing trips are also popular.

Another Cornish town surrounded by the countryside where the National Trust cares for much of the land.

Nearby are the world renowned Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The market town of St Austell is also only a few miles away.

During the summer, a regular ferry runs between Fowey and Mevagissey.
